Update, May 11th.

The rallycross for Saturday is on. I visited the track on Wednesday to make sure it was in good shape and it was. It was so dry they were watering for a practice session on Wednesday night, even the infield was dry with just a couple of damp spots at the north end of the gravel area. There is some rain forecast, 60% today, 30% Friday and 40% Saturday. The forecast keeps changing but it’s crunch time and the decision is to run. If you want to withdraw do it by 10:00 AM today so we don’t charge your credit card. If you are paying by interac please get that transfer done today. If we get a lot of rain and the track conditions deteriorate we’ll poll the competitors weather to keep going or not. We need your feedback on conditions and track layout, let us know if something needs to be changed.

The start order is posted   Start Order V1

Update – May 8th. 2017

The wet weather seems to of passed and we’ve got a cool but drying trend for this week with a 40% chance of showers on Saturday. Based on that our plan is to hold the rallycross as scheduled. I’m going to drive down to the track on Wednesday and have a look for myself. We’ll send out an email by Thursday morning with the final decision but it looks positive right now.

Gary Grant (AKA The Garage Guy) will be doing a BBQ  lunch but bringing your own supply of water and snacks is probably a good idea.

The complete regulations in PDF form are at here . Details on the series are here.

Results will be posted at http://kwrc.blither.net

Spectators are welcome, it’s free, but you must stay in the grandstand area. It has a pretty good view of the entire field.

The track layout is here but there have been some thoughts of running the layout backwards.  If you have any questions, email martinl@htl.net
