That was a brutally hot day, it was tough on everyone. Thank you to our workers for setup and on the day, Gord, Mark and Darin did the track setup on Friday, then on Saturday when Gord & Phil’s fanbelt shredded they stepped up to marshall. Jeff clerked the event helped by Tristan and Patrick with Eric on the start line and Kayla in scoring.
The drivers suffered from the heat as well; there were no medical issues but we all agreed to call it a day after five runs. We were all dusty and exhausted when we got home. A big thank you to everyone who came out for another good event.
Apart from the fan belt on the Mazda, there were no DNF’s or tyre issues and the preparation of the cars competing has increased in the past few years. The times are really close and we have a lot of really competitive drivers.
