Here is a fun event, another of Ian Wright’s ideas.  The Rally SIM Challenge. We’ll be updating this page as we get closer to the event.

There is a new entertainment place called the 19th Hole who have six full race simulator machines. The plan is to rent all six machines for a couple of hours on Wednesday October 9 from 7-9PM. It’ll be a head to head competition between KWRC and MLRC for both individual and club champions. Obviously we’ll be using rally courses; everybody will run the same course for about 10 minutes, then switch to a new route. The cumulative time will determine the winner much as in regular rally and we may use averaging for the club championship. It’s still very much in the development stage right now but Brandon is the SIM expert we are leaning on. We think the cost will be $50 per person. Ideally we’d have 12 people with six from each club but we will try to accommodate everybody who wants to run.
