The wet weather seems to of passed and we’ve got a cool but drying trend for this week with a 40% chance of showers on Saturday. Based on that our plan is to hold the rallycross as scheduled. I’m going to drive down to the track on Wednesday and have a look for myself. We’ll send out an email by Thursday morning with the final decision but it looks positive right now.
We had a good time at the club banquet on January 23rd and Tom Burgess was a great speaker. The social time with club members is a nice change from the hectic pace of events.
January 30th was Frostbite rally and we had a great turnout with 27 cars running leg A. Dennis and Roger did a great job of organizing and we had a dedicated bunch doing checkpoints. Results are posted.
February 13th is our first Rallycross of 2016, it looks to be a fun event as long as the ground stays frozen. Details are here, more are being posted as we get them.
Don’t forget MLRC’s Polar Bear rally on February 20th, an all night drivers rally with fairly simple navigation but interesting roads. If you can’t enter you should consider helping out, contact Ross if you are available.
Just a gentle reminder that memberships were due as of January first, follow this link to the renewal form.
Finally, Bruce’s Car 0 Report is a good read on what’s happening in Ontario rally that is emailed out whenever there is a need. Click to link for the current issue and how to subscribe.
