Results from our second Saturday Night at the Rallies event for 2026, held on April 11. It was a romp from St’ Jacobs to Drumbo Rd and back covering about 100km. The weather was good and most of the roads in good shape although some had lots of potholes to drive around.

As you can see there were some excellent results in both beginner and experienced classes. There was a tie for second place in the experienced class and it was broken by using the “most zeros” rule which put the Dewars in second. Justin & Nicole were only 0.1 behind at 0.8. The interesting story is that Dave & Zach Hickey won for the first time since switching to the experienced class with a score of only 0.4 – great work guys.
In beginner, the scores were also very good. Bartlett & Ronza should have won but a missed control in the first half put paid to that. Campusano & Bournissen were third on only their second rally, Tiago & Melanie second, only loosing out to MacGillvray & Jones by 0.1
It was great to have 16 cars turn out and they collectively made it to 175 of the 176 possible controls. Thank you all for attending.
Our dedicated workers were Roger & Brandon who did the route measuring and initial timing, then Roger checked the instructions, timing and route. Brandon did course opening. Checkpoints were staffed by Mark, Tristan, Gary, Christina, Steve, & Frank. Teresa helped with registration and scoring.
The next navigational event is Blossom on May 30, organized by Phil & Gord. It’s both a SNATR & an ORRC event and runs a little west of London on roads we haven’t used in a long time. We hope to see you there.
Martin.
