We`re still on for the weekend. Here are the start orders in pdf format.

Saturday Start Order

Sunday Start Order

Update Feb. 6

As of now, Wednesday Morning, our two rallycrosses are on.

The recent weather has wiped out all the snow and left mud, and you probably know what a mess the track can be when it’s wet. However, the forecast is for below freezing temperatures Thursday night and all day Friday. Friday night it’s supposed to get even colder, -10°C with the same for Saturday night. Saturday and Sunday daytimes look to be a high of -3°C and partly sunny.

The hope is that things will be frozen enough to run both days. We’ll probably have to make some adjustments to the track layout and I expect the track to mostly be frozen gravel or mud. The team will do what we can to make it as fun as possible.

If you need to withdraw for any reason today would be the time to do that. We’ll be processing the credit cards on Thursday and it’s harder and more costly to process refunds after that.

My master list of who is running when is at this link
Look it over carfully and make sure you know what day you are running. I’ll be working out a start order this evening and it will show up as an new tab on the above link.

A couple of things to consider:
-You’ll be outside all day, we don’t have any buildings to get warm in.
-Toilets are Porta-Potties
-We’ll have water and coffee / tea / hot chocolate to drink
-We’re having Chilli and rolls for lunch both days
-Boots and warm coats for when you are not running would be a good idea
-Some of your own snacks and drinks might not be a bad idea
-Look carefully over your wheels and lug nuts, we had three failures in October.
-There is a self declaration form posted on the web site. It’s meant for Solo but it’s a good tool to check your own car. Please complete it and bring it to registration.
-Speaking of registration, it is open at 9:00-9:30, parade lap about 9:50 and the straight into our runs.

I’ll probably put out one or two more updates before Saturday. I want to thank all the people who have volunteered to help with this event. Several competitors are running one day and working the other. The club really appreciates the support we get from the members.

Update Jan. 23
Second day of rallycross added.

We’ve got so many people wanting to run, and limited spots, so we’ve added Rallycross 1A on Sunday Feb. 10. It will run the same sup. regs as Saturday other than the date change.
I’ve got the permissions, permits and insurance arranged to run an additional rallycross on Sunday Feb, 10, 2019.

That means if you were on the wait list you are now on the list to run on Sunday. You can check your status on this google spreadsheet

This is revision 1 and I expect I’ll have to make several updates.

  • -If you are on the Saturday list and would prefer to run on Sunday let me know. This could help if you want to run with additional people using your car.
  • -If you are on the Sunday list and can’t make that day, let me know. If a Saturday spot opens up I can move you there. I know two of the Kinoshitas have to work on Sunday so they’d like to move.
  • -If you are running on Saturday and want to run on Sunday for fun we’ll try to accommodate that. I’ve created another event in MotorSportReg  just to handle that possibility.  We’ll give Sunday priority the people who are not on the Saturday list and fill the leftover spaces with people who want a second day. You don’t get a second chance at series points though.
  • I know it’s a bit confusing that you might of signed up for the Saturday rallycross and now you are moved to Sunday. If you are one of those running Sunday don’t worry that your MSR registration shows Saturday, I mostly use it to process payment. The spreadsheet above will be the master document for who is running when. I’ll create start orders later.

The two days of running put a bit of a kink in our championship. In an ideal world I’d run all the 2WD on Saturday and the 4WD on Sunday but that isn’t going to happen this time around. If you look at the list you can see the predominance of 2WD on Saturday so championship points are hard to get, but much easier on Sunday.

I’m still open to suggestions to fix that, but I’m leaning on combining the results of both days of running into one. We’ll do our best to keep the track the same and hope that conditions don’t change a lot overnight. If the second day is substantially different from the first I might have to apply some kind of normalizing curve. It would be  arbitrary, and some won’t be happy with the results. We’re doing all the extra work for a second day so people can have some fun but no good deed goes unpunished.

Update Jan. 13
We’ve got a full field after only having registration open for five days. Don’t despair, there is a waitlist and it’s possible you could still get to run. It doesn’t cost anything to be on the waitlist and I’ll make a decision on who gets to run from the waitlist on Jan. 27. That will give you a couple of weeks to plan something else for the weekend if you don’t make the cut.

You need to be on the list to have the possibility of running.

KWRC is putting on a RallyCross at the New Humberstone Speedway in Port Colbourne on Saturday Feb. 9, 2019. RallyCross uses stock and slightly improved cars in timed competition on a gravel and dirt track. In this case we hope for ice and snow,  more information will be added as the event date approaches.

The location is
1716 Main St E.
Port Colborne, ON L3K 5V3
GPS 42.898846, ‐79.200793

Online registration will be available via  ( will open on January 7.  We allow a maximum of 30 entries and car sharing will be accommodated where possible. After 30 entries we will start a wait list. KWRC members get  the first chance at the available spots up to January 30th, then we’ll open it up to everybody else. Members of KWRC get the reduced entry fee of $85.00, others are $100.00

Updated Sup Regs are at RC1-19 Humberstone SR R1. We’ve updated the penalties section, reducing them for cones and barrels.

Registration and scrutineering open at 9:00AM and close at 9:30AM followed by a competitors meeting and a parade lap. We hope to get six runs in and be done about 3:30PM. Passengers are OK as long as they have a suitable helmet and sign the ASN_English_General_Waiver. People under the age of 18 need to have a signed ASN_English_Parental_Consent_Waiver.

Results will be posted at

Spectators are welcome, it’s free, but you must stay in the grandstand area. It has a pretty good view of the entire field. We will have porta-potties but the buildings and washrooms will not be open. Come prepared to deal with cold and/or damp weather.

The general track layout is below but we try to improve the layout each time.  Check the website as the date approaches,  wet weather can play havoc with the track and we may have to cancel. If you have any questions, email

Event Forms

We've posted the essential and good to have forms in .pdf format so you can read them and fill them out ahead of time if needed. This could be important if you plan to run with a minor for whom who you do not have guardianship authority or if you want to register before the event.
