Covid notes – Dec. 28

We’ll still be a state of emergency on Feb. 6 I expect so unfortunately this event won’t go ahead.

Instructions for:
ORRC Expert and Novice
SNATR Beginner and Novice

Saturday February 6, 2021
Registration opens at 12:30PM (all registration is on-line)
Car 1 out at 1:01PM
Mid-point break about 2:30PM
Finish about 4:30PM
About 170km long. Roughly 70% gravel and sand roads.

Start / Finish
401 Westbound service centre, between exits 230 & 222, between Woodstock and Ingersoll

GPS 43.057572, -80.813203

Entry Fee $30.00 for the ORRC, $20 for the SNATR

The ORRC and the SNATR share the same ~170km route. The SNATR will have beginner and novice level instructions but does not qualify for points in the ORRC series. If you enter the ORRC you have the choice of novice or expert instructions, the novice instructions are the same as the SNATR novice.

With the Covid issues we’re making the event as contactless as possible. You can fill in the Google entry form and self declaration so you don’t need to bring them to the start. We don’t need to handle your licence, insurance and ownership documents since your self declaration will cover that. Payment will be by Interac transfer or credit card through MotorSportReg.

We’ll do everything for the rally outside. On the morning of  the rally we’ll post and email the car numbers and any updated route notes. At the start we’ll give you your instructions about 10 minutes ahead of your out time, they will be in a clear plastic bag, we hold the bag, you remove the instructions. At checkpoints we’ll have the ET and distance information posted on the marshal’s car,  the worker will tell you what information you are to write on your route card.

We won’t have the usual scoring scrum and social time at the finish, you hand in your route card and we’ll get scoring done in the evening. We’ll email the preliminary scores to everybody, give you a couple of days look them over and inquire, then declare them final. We’ll mail out the awards. Needless to say you’ll need to wear a mask if you are going to be close to someone outside your bubble or to go into the service centre. It’s not the social way we prefer to run a rally but it’s what we have to do in these times.

Here are the forms you’ll need
