SNATR #1 for 2015
The first event in our 2015 Saturday Night at the Rallies Series
These events are designed for the novice and the more experienced competitor, with two sets of instructions following the same route and timing. One set of instructions is easy and designed for the people who are new to navigational rallying, the other set is a bit harder to give some challenge to competitors who have done a few rallies. We'll have separate awards for the different classes.
There is no requirement to be a club member to enter these events, they are open to anybody. Remember we have the draw for a set of Toyo Tires at the end of the season, based on participation rather than finishing positions. Details are here.

The Travel Centre has a restaurant and gas station.
The route runs in the Woodstock area and this event is about 100 km long including about 50 Km. of good gravel road, all the rest are paved. Being early in the spring and following a hard winter you can expect some muddy roads and snow in the ditches but they are all firm gravel. The beginner instructions are fairly simple; accumulative distance and turns, tulip diagrams and lists . No special equipment is required but a watch, pen and clipboard will come in handy. A calculator will help with the timing but most beginner competitors wisely decide to concentrate on keeping on route rather than doing exact timing
Here is a sample of the instructions from a previous year, the "easy" instructions will be easier than this, the "hard" will be a bit more advanced.
We've posted the waiver and minor waivers in .pdf format so you can
read them and fill them out ahead of time if needed.
This could be important if you plan to run with a minor for whom who you do not have guardianship authority.
Make sure you bring your valid vehicle ownership and insurance slips
with you to the start, as well as a permission letter if you are not the
owner of the vehicle.
It would help with our planning if you could email me and let me know if you think you may to enter.
We will be using Time Allowances in this rally. Click here for a description of how they are used.
