As explained above, the winners in Touring class are Siddieui & Detsan since they had the lowest score in their class in Leg A. As you can see, Keip & Dalley and
Collins & Collins did a great job in Leg B using the harder Novice instructions.
Thanks to the competitors for coming out to such a muddy event, and making scoring easy by getting most of the controls. It was a fun wrap-up to the season.
Our faithful checkpoint crews were Jeff & Cheryl, Frank & Rebecca, Jane, Christina and Steve. Thanks to Teresa for the route measurements and scoring and to Bruce for the Green Crew. Special thanks to Murray and Ian for taking on the organization of the rally, A first for them and they did a great job.
Ian and I would like to thank the KWRC for trusting us with organizing the Northern Lights Rally. All the support from everyone really helped to ensure it went smoothly.
Most teams went home today with brown cars. The sloppy road conditions were perfect to cap off this year’s ORRC series.
I was reminded prior to the start the words of a past competitor, “puzzles don’t belong in rallies”. A few teams were caught off guard by the grid; just another day at the office for the navigators right?!
It was great to see we had a bunch of new teams in the Touring class. We hope to everyone back again in the New Year at the January Jaunt!

The new season starts on Jan. 5 with January Jaunt and then continues with Frostbite on January 26. Details will be posted soon.
